Re: Toddlers at a private nursery were force fed, gagged and picked up by their wrists, Swansea Crown court has heard.<br />
Three childcare professionals are accused of cruelty at the busy nursery which had a “rough house culture”.<br />
The whistle was blown by sixthformers on work placements at the nursery which looks after newborn infants and children up to the age of seven.<br />
“The children concerned were left distressed and traumatised.<br />
The mother of one of the children sobbed in the public gallery after hearing how he was treated at the Bright Sparks nursery in Port Talbot, South Wales,<br />
Owner and manager Katie Davies, 32, deputy manager Christina Pinchess, 31, and and staff member Shelbie Forgan, 22, deny the child cruelty charges against them.
