Danielle Prosser, 29, took off the shoe and lunged at the startled pair outside a nightclub, causing horrific injuries.
Sophie Rees, 19, was knocked unconscious and needed to have her scalp stapled back together.
Her boyfriend Matthew Lloyd, 20, needed surgery to his cheek after suffering severe facial injuries caused by the sharp heel.
A judge said the injuries were so severe the offences merited going to prison.
But mother-of-three Prosser was let off with a suspended sentence because she was sorry for her “moments of stupidity.”
Prosser was filmed approaching the couple armed with the black stiletto outside Coolers nightclub in Merthyr Tydfil, South Wales.
The court heard there was had been banter as revellers left the venue at 2am with drink and food being thrown.
