Re: Bargain hunters on eBay browsing at a house were bidding for nothing more than an email, it has been revealed.
An auction on the website attracted bids of more than £10,000 for the home in Abercrave, but all was not what it seemed.
The auction advertised a detached, three bedroom “house for sale” in Abercrave, in the Swansea Valley with “very large grounds for possible extension to existing property, or potential for building plot subject to planning.”
The description added: “House is in village location close to schools, doctors, shops et cetera. Property fronts quiet main village road and backs onto the River Tawe, with fishing rights.”
But it seems potential buyers had not read the full listing.
At the bottom of the page the ad said: “Auction is for property details via email or post”.
