The accident happened on Saturday afternoon near Barrack Hill.<br />
A white Dacia Duster was left perched on top of a grey Suzuki car next to Harlequin roundabout. Both cars suffered serious damage.<br />
Harlequin roundabout and Queen's Hill close in both directions as a result of the accident.<br />
Photographer Andrew Morgan Evans, 35, from Newport, was on his way home from a shopping trip when he noticed the crash scene.<br />
He said: "I had never seen anything like it. People passing by were stopping to look and took photos on their phones.<br />
"The police road collision unit were there."<br />
There was smashed glass spread across the road.<br />
"I just kept wondering 'how did a car land on top of another?'," Mr Evans added.
