Kelly Kennedy, 25, died at the scene of the crash on the main Swansea Valley road as she drove home from work.
23 year old Liam Price, had previously pleaded guilty to causing death by dangerous driving but co-defendant, Cory Kedward, also 23, denied the charge - he claimed he had not been involved in racing or any kind of “competitive driving”.
A jury found him guilty by a majority verdict following a six-day trial at Swansea Crown Court.
Miss Kennedy was killed on the evening of July 4, 2016, on the A4067 between Pontardawe and Glais in south Wales. She was travelling to her home in Clydach, and travelling in the opposite direction to Price and Kedward.
After driving past the Glais roundabout, Price in his turquoise Honda Civic Sport, and Kedward in his black Vauxhall Astra SRi, began racing each other.
