The host of Good Morning Britain bought the 5.3 litre Jaguar when he was earning big bucks with the BBC.<br />
But Eamonn was made redundant and at the same time he was hit with an £11,000 demand from the Inland Revenue.<br />
The car was costing him a fortune to run - it did under 15mpg.<br />
After paying a whopping £36,000 for the Jaguar XJSC, Eamonn flogged it for just £8,000 a year later.<br />
The car has an identical price tag at auction almost 30 years later.    <br />
Eamonn, 57, told how he got shot of the Jag when the 1990 Gulf War sparked a big hike in fuel prices.<br />
He said: "Cars are my weakness - in 1989 I bought a British Racing Green Jaguar.<br />
"I paid £36,000 in March 1989 then in early 1990 the Gulf War broke out.
